Calling ALL NYC FAMILIES!!!

Mommy's Links is hosting its first ever Thanksgiving Potluck & Food Drive on Sunday, November 20th, 2011. There is no fee to attend but we ask that you bring your family, a dish to share, and a food donation for the drive! We are excited to have a great sponsor in North American Refinery! Matt, owner of NAR, will be on location to buy you gold. And if you didn't know the price of gold is at its all time highs! Bring your gold, get it appraised, and walk out with CASH!! What better way to get ready for the big holiday weekend than with extra cash to go SHOPPING!! NAR will be on site from 1pm to 3pm. The food drive is to benefit NYC Families and will be donated to City Harvest. We hope that you will bring some food for those who are less fortunate. And what better way than to spend the day amongst your favorite Mommies and Daddies!! There will be activities for the children and fun for the adults too! Come out and enjoy!

Cookies for Kids Cancer & How I Got Involved

When doing some internet surfing on ways to raise money for charitable donations, I came across this charity. I read the story about Prince Liam the Brave and tears welled up in my eyes. I started to think about my three boys and how I would manage if I knew one one them was deathly sick. And my heart broke even more.

My three boys are my world and the reason I get up each and every day. Reading the story behind Liam's fight for his life and the battles his parents endured along the way, inspired me to help.

So, I have signed up to be a contributor in hosting three bake sales, one a month for three months, to raise money for kids cancer. Liam's parents created Cookies for Kid's Cancer as a means to generate funds to research and find a cure for pediatric cancers.

I will be posting the event dates and places for all to come out and show your support! So, keep checking back.
